Early 1995 we had the idea, to link ethno
music with modern pop rhythms. We travelled
to the South Indian jungle and met a native who sang for us the chant of
Manciu. In
Manciu the high tech world of our civilization meets with the uncultivated native
mentality
of the illiterates from the bush. The blend of the unspoilt singings of a pure natural
talent
with a crystal clear voice and the cold neon world of studio music is so unique that we
think also other listeners will be seized by the fascination of this song.
